Can Can

I think "beer can collecting" may top the list of "70s kid hobbies that won't make a comeback" I'd put my money on flocking bottles before this.

now if you'll excuse I'm going to try and track down some "big Cat Malt Liquor", I pray they still make it.

AM Radio Joy

Sadly the "Disguise the AM Radio as other things" is mostly a forgotten art. Also vanishing is the "Give kids things with the budwesier logo on them" agenda. Judging by how much Bud I drank in my teens, mission accomplished.

My dad filled this up in one week!

Ahhhh the days before recycling! Seeing this ad reminds me of Black Label which was pretty much my beer in my college (poverty) days. We broke up one horrible Sunday morning and I decided to see other beverages....

Status Symbols

The home bar craze in the 1970s (ours was orange with a white and gold speckled counter) is something I fondly remember but I have to wonder how many folks had to stare at this day in and day out.
I have nothing against Anheuser Busch (partially thanks to them I don't remember much of my frosh year) but if I think having this in the living room says a lot of things about you, not all of them good.

Start 'Em Young!

Ha! You call that a collection? My kids are toddlers and already they've had enough aluminum to build two playgrounds and 11 wheelchairs, all from picking up around me on Saturday mornings.

A Sophisticated Gentleman's Boudoir

Hell Yeah! Nothing like these sheets to hide all the empties when your mom comes down to your room to ask whether or not you even looked for a job yesterday.
