Kitchen Tables of the Past

Any of these look familiar? My grandparents had #3 in their apartment, which was fine by me because it was like we were eating on "Star Trek". This trek motif worked well, as the living room was covered in a "space age" plastic and they were Scottish.

My best friend's parents had the brown version of #1, along with the matching chairs. She now has it (at least the table -- dunno what happened to the chairs).

Wow, they even worked the dark wood theme into chairs in the 70's (#3).

The chairs in pic #2 look like they're made of spinach. Durable...and nutritious!

I would totally still use #4.

...well, maybe not.

I knew a lot of families that had variations of #3.

My aunt and uncle had a gold #1 with the chairs from #2, only they were plain gold, not all splotchy. I really hated that table, even as a 6-year-old.

This was some really cool furniture, actually, I think the chairs were pretty comfortable because they were cushioned (easy to clean fabric too!!).

My grandparents had #1 in the blue-green! Eventually the metal legs rusted & fell apart, if I remember right. I think they may still have one left... I need to look next time I'm at their place!

All dinette furniture should look like this.

Somebody I knew had the chairs from #2. It's bugging me that I can't remember who that was!

My grandma had #2 from the mid 1970's until the late 1980's....It matched her avacado green kitchen perfectly!
