White Pockets and Fringe

Together, they're Dynamite!

And for the Halloween Countdown today, we've got this little treat:

That's the Pressman "Dick Smith" Make Up Kit, which inspired at least one person I know for sure to enter the special effects industry.

Wow. I've seen a lot of things, and I've been around and sold vintage clothes for years, but "white pockets" just blew my mind.

(Are those silver shoes!?!)

That's the promo poster for the Durham Elementary School stage production of "Midnight Cowboy". I bet their parents proud. :)

You could have left just the pic of the boys up there as your contribution to the "Halloween Countdown", cause of those ain't costumes, I don't know what to say!

Man, I must admit I so wanted a jacket like that back in the day.

The kid on the left looks like a young Colonel Straker from UFO.

White pockets? no way...
I gotta say, even as a kid I would not have worn that stuff. Do these kids have no pride? More than likely most of these clothes never sold well.

"That's our Midnight Cowboy look. Anyone wanting to look like John Voight just needs the hat to complete the outfit."

Yes, we actually did. White belt, white shoes, fringe, the whole she-bang. Sad isn't it.
