When Big Jim was new

This early ad for Big Jim immediately whisks me back to the my earliest memories of "Action Figures". I took a few breaks but the damn things have been a part of my life since then, probably better off because of it...

My earliest memories of action figures had to be Major Matt Mason. After that it was GI Joe. But like you, they were a major part of my childhood fun, a fun I tried to relive with my sons. My faves were the Adventure Team, of course, Big Jim, and Mego Planet of the Apes and Star Trek. All the Mego figures actually. Wish I could go back...

Like Umbratikus I cut my action figure-teeth on MMM, Big Jim, and GI Joe. Great memories!

While all of my friends seemed to have that camper, all I had was a bunch of figures and an vivid imagination : )
