"The Car" game, no really

The folks at Kenner did some incredibly smart moves like the Six Million Dollar Man and Star Wars, we can't forget they also thought up things Milky the Milking Cow and actually tried to market a game based on the 1977 Horror film "The Car".

For those not in the know, this was movie about a possessed car that runs people over, it starred James Brolin and it's the kind cheese you expect it to be. I'm not sure why the execs at Kenner thought this film equated to toys, heck I don't even know if these got made...

i am a wee bit disturbed by how pleased this brother-sister killing team is over their car's deadly rampage.

The Car sounds like a great game. Car crashes, car kills... game over. Everyone's a winner!

My sister had Milky The Cow when we were kids BTW, and I can confirm that it was actually sort of fun for about ten minutes.

My brother and I did this with all our cars & trucks anyway, so this would have just been even better.

That looks like about 3 minutes of fun.

That's too funny. Between this and their Alien toy, WTF were they thinking at Kenner.

Very cool though.

Here's proof that drug testing prior to employment simply wasn't done in the 70s--even if it never was released.

I so would have gotten this (or asked Santa for it). I mean they had games like Earthquake Tower and the sinking Titanic so ...why not.

They put a collectible 1/18 scale Car out a few years ago and they sold old so the kids who would have gotten this game as a kid are grown up and shelling out bucks for collectibles on the film now.
