Both these guys were based on real people, Kojak was an amalgam of several people who worked on a real life case but Armes was a real life detective with prosthetic hands. I'm not sure about the van being real however, just in my dreams sadly...

Of all the amazing things I saw at last weekend's Mego Meet, this may have been the greatest. I toyed with buying them but I am not worthy to wield such a mighty item.

I like to think that in this universe Kojak was the guy nobody invited but they didn't want to be rude.

I've postulated on the oddness of Kojak toys to the point where I'm tired of it. I will say that this set by Harmony is one of the more logical sets, except for the whistle, but I'll forgive that because the mental image of Telly Savalas running after a perp with a whistle in his mouth amuses me no end.
