Seeing as Valentines Day is coming up and although it's been nearly three years since I did a Lingerie piece it's still one of the top reasons people ever visit PlaidStallions ( Sex sells, I must remember to write that down) I thought it was high time to take another look at what I call "Eww-la-la" with another look at a crusty old lingerie catalog.

I never knew that Gilda Radner did lingerie ads and now wish I never did.

you're already taking a risk when you buy clothing via mail-order without getting to see the goods in person . . . but how do you buy something based on a cartoon image of said product? people must have really trusted Mr Frederick and his slick comb-over

At first, I thought "You can almost hear her yelling "Oh Lighten Up" as her ashy Virginia Slim narrowly misses a toddler's eye." was the best thing anyone ever said on a blog.

Then I scrolled down and saw "Justice Weague of Amewica"...

@veg-o-matic thankyou I was proud of that although i admit it came from experience, where all good comedy dwells.

That first shot has a real Mary Ann from Gilligan's Island vibe going on (minus the gold chain).

Do you remember the good 'ole days on TV when electricity was produced by a cute girl riding a bamboo bicycle - after baking a homemade coconut cream pie no less? Sigh...

Why is the Bikini at top labelled E, F? Does each breast warrant a capital letter?

Knit to Fit - fashions for the discerning Madeline Khan or Dolly Parton impersonator.
