This ad is from 1978, I find it funny that kids were playing with ships from Gerry Anderson's (IMO amazing) UFO series a good seven years after it was cancelled. Those Eagles were also more fun than should be humanly allowed.
I had the Enterprise, but me and my dad used to visit Toys By Roy in Albuquerque's Winrock Mall and we'd both stare longingly into the glass case full of Dinky Toys, coveting the UFO stuff. At that point, I didn't understand that dad dug the show for the purple-haired moonbase chicks...

I did win the Corgi Superman supermobile rocketship on Ebay. In the packaging and everything!
There is not nearly enough UFO merchandise out there. And as for Space: 1999 merchandiese, there is not nearly enough in my house.
