I guess because of my duties over at the MegoMuseum, I never really think to mention Mego's awesome Micronauts Toy line and for that I am sorry. Like a lot of 70s children I was totally blown away by this line, one part action figure, another part lego it was the stuff of dreams.
My only problem with it was it's lack of durability at times, I was (am) kind of ham fisted kid and that didn't fair well with these sometimes delicate Japanese imports. I still have my original Force Commander as well, I know it's mine cause my mom wrote my initials on the feet...

I'm guilty of underplaying this incredible line, too. I only have a few Micronauts in my collection. I think this is because I was starting to move away from toys when these were released. Looking at them now, however, I think I would have been gaga for this line if I was just a few years younger when they came. They're pretty cool and they have hours of imaginative play built right in.
I remember the ads for this toy line in all my comic books. But I think I only had one of the toys. I wasn't really too interested to be honest.
Micronauts were the absolute best, I had a ton of them, and Microman (the Japanese line they came from) is still awesome to this day.
I was completely apesh*t over the Micronauts. While coming from a family of modest means, I got what I could and treated those little pamphlets that came with each set like holy script. I also got to experience Micronauts vicariously through a friend who had every goddamn one of them, all tucked away in a huge toy storage closet.
I've occasionally bought one or two here or there over the years, but more often or not have given them away to my or someone else's children.
Yes! My absolute favorite childhood toy bar none. I loved these more than even GI Joe with Kung-Fu Grip and my Star Wars toys! Oh, yeah, I said it.
I even collected all the Marvel Comics until...I didn't anymore, for some reason. Not near as good as the toy, but I didn't care because Micronauts, man!
They did have an unfortunate tendancy to go all, shall we say, loosey-goosey after a while, true. That was a bummer. It got so Biotrons arms wouldn't even stay on, much less be posable. But, man, I loved those things.
I had that vehicle at bottom right. I had such a tough time keeping all my Micronauts stuff together and in one piece...
Loved my shiny metal Baron Karza, tho.
You guys are Micro crazy! :)
Greetings Micronauts Toy Fans!

Oh man I saw that car in the lower right at an estate sale. It looked familiar. Now I know what it is
