Pressman Movie/TV "Monster Make Up"

It's October and that means the Halloween content flows like fake blood around here. 

To all of you who had this wonderful set as a kid, please let it be known I'm still a little envious of you. These kinds of items always intrigued me in the back of magazines and comics but I never put my hands on them.

It's probably indeterminable how many careers this kit and "flexi flesh" kick started but we're better off for it's existence.

Pressman Space Creatures

This cool promotional shot of the heads of the Pressman toy company wearing their cool Star Wars inspired masks was a recent fun find. Lots of companies jumped on the space wagon pretty quick and managed to beat Kenner to the stores. These masks weren't simple knock offs though, they were designed by Dick Smith, the Oscar winning make up artist who influenced a generation of special effects people.

 I'm pretty sure I've seen that Zordius mask as a background alien on several 70s sci fi shows.

Wonder Woman goes to Toys R Us

Wasn't I just saying something about how I'd never seen many Wonder Woman appearance shots? Well, when it rains it pours because not only this another great shot of Diana Prince's alter ego, it's a vintage toy store shot to boot. I know this appearance took place in 1978 because I can see a shelf loaded with Pressman Space Creature mask kits right behind. Joy.
