Aurora Comic Scene Models are a really happy part of my childhood seeing as my Dad sold them for a while and as a result, I had a good supply. I sucked at model building (still kinda do) and used them more as action figures, which I think a lot kids did. My Dad's showroom, around 1974, you can see the comic scenes kits in the corner.

I am extremely happy to anounce a new toy gallery at Plaidstallions, dedicated to what is definitely one of the finest and somewhat under rated action figure lines of the 1970s, Gabriel's Lone Ranger.
Thanks entirely to the generosity and support from collectors Bill Frost and Rob Chatlin, we now have on display what might be the most comprehensive archive of the Lone Ranger Toy Line ever compiled.
Feel free to browse the galleries for figure variations, playsets and the staggering amount of outfits and adventure sets produced, it's pretty amazing just how much was created for this line, it has it's own "mini universe"!

Today, I've got a cool one, it's from my Megomuseum co-hort (and the site's founder) Scott Adams and it's all about his obsession with Sesame Street Finger Puppets.
World's Greatest Sesame Street Finger Puppets is an exhaustive and very pretty look at the history of these little beauties. As a kid, I found a couple of these in a tree of all places, each puppet was on a different branch at a park. Oh and Scott is even selling some extras in case the site gives you "the itch"
I'm loving this 1978 Sears spread featuring Hasbro Super Joe, I'm just somewhat curious as to why Godzilla from the Shogun Warriors was crowbarred into the back like that. It works though doesn't it? Little kids don't care that the toys aren't from the same lines (unless you were that really anal kid) and this scene probably got reenacted in a couple of (lucky) households.
I found these wicked Bert and Ernie napkins rummaging through a box at my parents house, they're from my fifth birthday party. To think, my mom almost threw these important pieces of "Brianana" away...

Christmas Eve makes me think of Pajamas, it always has and here are some super cool stylings from 31 years ago. Given the choice at the time, no doubt I would reach for Captain America, which seems weird because I'm Canadian.That Spock is pretty darn sweet too though.

I personally would like to purchase the Moustache and "The Viking Goatee" for holiday visits to the in laws this year. So many colours to choose from too, you get black/brown or brown. Screw you blondie!
