Well-Made Toys wasn't a real household word but they were very well known in 1974 when they landed the Planet of the Apes license and filled toy stores with their cute plush novelties based on the TV series. It burned brightly but not for a long time, leaving lots of cool toys in it's path.

I've always wondered how they managed to use a lineart version of the artwork for the model kits on their packaging...

Although the severed ape heads dangling from strings have a voodoo-esque, slightly creepy feel to them...
