More Love For MAC

I forgot to add this to "Toy Questions" segment I did a month back, this is easily in my top ten of solvable toy mysteries for people. Matchbox MAC were really unique, compact and perfect to me as a six year old but even when I was buying them, I had absolutely no idea what they were called. They were just "those little guys"..

Below is the link to the 1977 MAC catalog, enjoy!

  1. Waitaminute! You've already thrown me the nostalgia curve that was MAC! No fair!

Remembering that single MAC set I had (the green truck with red winch) threw me back to 197_ as fast as the scent of hot dogs grilling at Art Bradish's.

  2. These are actually the second generation MAC figures. The first (which we had) we less detailed, square bodyed and a little smaller. The vehicles we better suited to these earlier figures, as the newer larger muscular men we a tighter fit in the driver seats.

  3. When I first read your article I thought you were speaking about MAC'OS, but it turned out to be flashbacks, that's nice.
