My god, those are incredible. I don't even know what they are. Some look like crazily-designed boogie boards, others look like weight watcher scales, etc.
ReplyDeleteYou occasionally see a better (but usually sun-tired) one in Charity shops, or general auctions, you also find them at Car boot sales, but more often than not in a state!

Yow, they give me flashbacks to the stargate sequence in 2001: A Space Odyssey. Or the wormhole sequence in Star Trek: The Motion Picture.
ReplyDeleteI suppose if you really wanted one all you'd need as parts are nails, a board, and yarn. Mostly you'd need the instructions. And there's probably plenty of books moldering away in used book stores on just that subject.
