Memories of a novelty toilet seat cover seen in a relative's home. On the top was a cartoon of a sad man sitting in a toilet about to flush himself down, with the caption "Goodbye Cruel World". The flip side had two messages: "GENTLEMEN: Stand close. It may be shorter than you think." "LADIES: Please remain seated through entire performance."
The art and lettering had that cheesy-T-shirt-booth-on-the-midway vibe; not quite professional enough for the Spencer catalog.
At the time I marveled that grownups had the power to buy stuff like that and put it in their homes, but mostly didn't.
Due to recent events, I'm limiting comments to google account holders only. Sorry if you're a decent person affected by this but the spam has gotten weird.
Outasight!
