Snoopy Sno-Cones

I could never talk my folks into such wonderful things such as this. Did you ever try for a snack maker/toy, if so which one?

  1. I actually had the Snoopy Sno-Cone maker as a kid, except the rotating barrel was red. It was a fun little summer "toy" though the age range really should've been 6-12 & 18-23 — it required a bit too much weight & strength for kids under 6, and as I discovered in college, a group of slightly giddy or tipsy undergrads can really have a blast with it.

  2. We had the 7-UP soda maker as kids. Probably why I have Type-II diabetes today...

  3. I had the Snow Man snow cone maker, but it was second-hand and we never had the flavor packets. Mom experimented with Kool-Aid, but never got the consistency right. My brother and I still had fun with it, though.

I got this for Christmas in 1979 from a family friend. I don't know what happened to it, but a few years ago I found another one just like it on Ebay, complete with the original box.

Agreed with comment number 1 . It took too much man power ( did I mention I was a kid of 7 at the time ? ) to operate this snow cone maker .It took a team of my construction workers Dad and Uncle , working at 5 minute intervals , a whopping 30 minutes to produce a single cone . After the 3rd cone , needless to say , it was taken back to Lionel Playworld for an exchange of ....da, da da daaaa Mego Spider Man Action Figure . All in all , it was a good day on the 70's that day !
