My pal Steve found me this and I wanted to hug him. This toy makes total sense, I mean what kid didn't have a Pernell Roberts poster on their bedroom walls back in 1981?
That Halloween they were all out of Gonzo Gates costumes so I had to settle for Yoda.
Passing up on the Trapper John action figure license is also rumoured to be the thing that killed Mego.
Ahahaha, that's one way to add "brand-name" awareness to a simple medical kit. I guess they were hoping the show would be something like M*A*S*H (a fair assumption).
ReplyDeleteAlso, man, I still see Ja-Ru toys on the racks.
Who among us didn't want the Gonzo RV pedal car?

ReplyDeleteI totally expect someone to find some Banacek rack toys now :)
ReplyDeleteWhat kid didn't enjoy "playing doctor"?
ReplyDeleteI had one very similar to this one, but some accessories were a bit different, also my brother got a Battlestar Galactica medical kit, which was molded mainly on gray plastic.
