Seeing that it's close to Christmas, let's take a trip back 30 years and see what toys were on special with the 1981 Child World Flyer, celebrating the best playthings that 1981 had to offer.
You'll find a lot of familiar faces in this one including Star Wars figures, Mego Superheroes, Intellivision, Jordache dolls, Fisher price and oodles more.
OMG this brought back so many great memories of my childhood! Child World was my favorite toy store as a kid! I can still faintly remember my parents taking me there to pick out a Strawberry Shortcake miniature for my collection (still have them) or an Atari video game.
The toys I found from your catalog scans that I remember having back then was the Pumpkin Farm, the Little Brown Pony, the Tippie Toes doll, the Dolly Pops Fashion Show set, and the Chutes and Ladders game. I actually still have the game, but all of the other items were either given away or sold at a garage sale 2 years ago when we moved. However, I'll never forget the hours of enjoyment all of those great '80s toys gave to me as a child!
Awesome. Seeing that bike page totally brought back that whiff of brand new knobby BMX rubber tire smell that I remember from places like JCPenney and the local bike shop. Thanks for sharing.
And golly gee, wouldn't you know I received that Othello game and the Rubik's Barrel in 1981 for my 11th birthday? You could see that exact same Othello box in my bday pics:
Due to recent events, I'm limiting comments to google account holders only. Sorry if you're a decent person affected by this but the spam has gotten weird.

1981: My 11th Birthday
