I remember going to the bookstore at my elementary school and buying these along with car and shark-shaped erasers. It took me forever to hunt these down as an adult collecter. Once I had the maker's name, however, I find them all the time.
Aw man, I TOTALLY had those four starships. They were amongst my favorite toys for a long time since they were so portable--I could bring them anywhere!
My childhood dentist used to have a ton of little character erasers set up in the office and a kid could choose one every time they completed a visit. I got all four of those ships that way, although they really were erasers and worked as well as any other similar character/shaped erasers, better than some! Might the molds have been used for these bendable toys AND erasers? Or are they all the same?

Due to recent events, I'm limiting comments to google account holders only. Sorry if you're a decent person affected by this but the spam has gotten weird.

ReplyDeleteThese really couldn't erase anything. Maybe I was dumb and thought they were erasers.
ReplyDeleteI had these for the longest time. Played with them til they were falling apart. Simple, but fun.
ReplyDeleteI loved these things!! Does anyone else remember getting these in the first Happy Meals?
ReplyDeleteI even remember some licensed Buck Rogers rubber toys similar to these.
Oh these were the coolest thing in my pencil box in elementary school . Now I am off to try and find them. (I just know one is in a box somewhere)
