Christmas Adventure


Adventure People were a Christmas staple for me from '75 to '79, I'm not sure I ever even asked for them but they were welcome. The hours I spent playing with sets 1 through 3 probably outnumbered the amount I studied in college, so more than nine hours...

  1. Ahh... Now THIS is my "happy place" indeed. I love all the sci-fi/fantasy stuff as much as the next guy, but it's these "back to nature/outdoors adventure" type of figures that were around circa '72-'82 (Big Jim and clones, Adventure People, some later Marx stuff, early Playmobil, etc.) that really do it for me. They're just so purely '70s in a way that's probably hard to explain to someone who wasn't a young, imaginative child at some point during that time frame. Many sepia-toned images of a blissful early childhood come flooding back...
