1977 Lili Ledy Toy Catalog

lili ledy mego hasbro Lili Ledy was Mexico's premiere toy manufacturer and because of trade restrictions, all toys they sold had to be manufactured in Mexico. So many of the popular US lines were licensed and then produced by Lili Ledy resulting in wonderful variations that toy collectors hunt for to this day.

1977 was a killer year with Bionic People, G.I. Joe and Mego Superheroes for everyone. Many thanks to Steve F. for these incredible scans...

  2. LoL ...I had several Bionic Man playsets including the ones above. You know for the longest time I had no idea that was an engine block that came with the doll. I always thought it was some kinda sled, and couldn't make the connection between the two. I actually only realized within the past decade that it was an engine block after all. Duhr.

  3. Hi narvolicious...
I recall that engine as a child too, but I didn’t know why an engine… it could have been any other heavy object as well …until I saw reruns of The Six Million Dollar Man TV show…
Now I now the connection Kenner gave to its toy, I believe the idea of the engine for Steve Austin Action Figure was taken from one of the 1st season episodes called ...Little Orphan Airplane, aired 22 February 1974... Where in a rescue mission, Steve Austin “moves” an old engine from an old plane with his right bionic hand and then fixed it and puts it back into the old plane. With the help of two nuns (one is sister Terese) … and they escape from a place in Africa. There! Now we know the origin of that “engine” for The Six Million Action Figure issue 1by Kenner toys…
