Fisher Price Adventure People Catalog

fisher price adventure people

One of the most influential Action toy lines of the 1970's, the Fisher Price Adventure people were North America's first 3 3/4" line of action figures and vehicles. These durable toys had great play value and lasted for nearly a decade, here we have a glimpse at the 1983 catalog where the adventure has more of a sci fi slant than ever before.

  1. My bro had the Alpha Probe ship. That thing was AMAZING. It made good sounds. I think he played with that toy more than any other toy we had, barring Lego of course.

Unfortuantely, i think every time you post something that i or my brother owned, i'll chime in with "we had that/it was great". It'll get old really fast...

  2. I'm pretty sure I used to have a toy which looked like the Clawtron figure, but had a head/face like the X-Ray Man (blue-green with white hair). Was this a Clawtron variation? Or is the face really blue-green, and it just looks black in the catalogue photo?

  3. Adventure People are the greatest action figures ever. I bought the sub w/diver and the female diver and inflatable outboard for my friend's (who's a diver) daughter (who loves water). Joy.

Now, if I could just figure out what happened to all of MINE. My mom never throws anything away,so where did they go?

  4. I know I said it before, but FP's Adventure People were a mainstay of my childhood. Seeing this '83 catalog, I remember now seeing that Alpha Probe in the local Toys R' Us for lotsa money. I had #386 and #387. Endless hours of fun with all those toys. Thanks for sharing again.
