Kind of refreshing after so many summer blockbuster duds this year.John IIIhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15132698775961146036noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26874882.post-89634395214912628202009-08-09T15:05:37.440-04:002009-08-09T15:05:37.440-04:00I'm looking forward to seeing the new GI Joe m...I'm looking forward to seeing the new GI Joe movie. Seeing those adds really brings back the memories. I collected the comics too. Like you guys, I wasn't really big on the cartoon, even though I watched it along with Transformers. I got tired of everything being laser blasters and no one getting hit. Not to mention vehicles and planes exploding into a million pieces, but suddenly there's a parachute! No death please!<br />Even though this isn't 70's, thanks for bringing it in Brian!John IIIhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15132698775961146036noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26874882.post-6579391733591011092009-08-07T13:14:30.231-04:002009-08-07T13:14:30.231-04:00The one thing I liked about the Joe figures was th...The one thing I liked about the Joe figures was the bendable knees & elbows, which the Star Wars figures didn't have.Ryan Whttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04802628789599586257noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26874882.post-37066607519235666122009-08-07T10:20:26.741-04:002009-08-07T10:20:26.741-04:00I was never a fan of the GI Joe cartoon or of mili...I was never a fan of the GI Joe cartoon or of military toys in general as a kid, but I certainly recognized the quality of those action figures, vehicles, and play sets. I was a big fan the first few years and the comic was cool but that cartoon was corny as hell. I think putting a voice to those characters killed it for me.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
