5 Awesome Things on eBay this week

AHI Sky Diving Parachuting Penguin- It should come as no shock that i love rack toys and especially ones with parachutes. The Penguin is actually a lot tougher to find than Batman and I really like the way the figure looks.

Planet of the Apes Puzzle- Not much vintage merch features Charlton Heston but come on, that's totally him!

Star Trek The Motion Picture Stickers from Australia- I love stuff that features the aliens and this set has a bunch of weird ones that are barely a glimmer in the film itself.

Knock Off Jaws key chains- I miss seeing stuff like this in shops, these little sharks even saw "JAWS" on them.

He-Man Annual from the UK- I love British hardcover annuals and avidly collect them, this one caught my eye, I'm not a big MOTU guy but this one mainly just features pictures of the toys themselves and it's that early era before the cartoon, it's really funky.

And finally, from my pal David Lockwood, this:

Whistling Dracula Teeth- David pointed out that the Dracula on the card looks like Liberace and well, I can't unsee it now.

When did that butthead alien appear in Star Trek? Don't remember any alien encounters ih the film.

Also, I'd be interested to see the "solid metal" Nikon camera and Sony radio keychains promoited by that sign.

The 'Butthead' aliens (did they hang out with Bevis?) were known as Zaranites in ST:TMP. They appeared as a number of background aliens, I don't think we ever got a clear view of them. They did appear again in 'ST: The Voyage Home' as aliens on the Federation council although there was some confusion about the name. Going to try to post some links below:

Kinda liked the Rigellians- saber-toothed turtles just sound cool!

I'd love one of those JAWS keychains, but $40 is too much, considering it's bootleg merch and will probably not survive on my keychain.

Thanks for the background info Gamera. I must have blinked when those aliens appeared on screen, or maybe their scene is just edited out of TV broadcasts.

Yes, those Zaranites appear very little in Star Trek the Motion Picture (one of my favorite movies). It's odd considering that Mego made some nice action figures of the aliens, and they were featured on the Happy Meals and the soundtrack LP. Even the Klingons were vaporized after appearing for just a couple of minutes at the beginning. V'Ger was one mean machine!
I have a couple of the Australian stickers the entire Topps card set, and most of the Weetabix cards.

I've seen the AHI Penguin a few times on Ebay, but always for a high price. I do have a few of the heroes, like Batman ad Superman.
Oh, how I wish I still had my AHI Batcycle. At least I've got photos and a home movie of myself using it.

I don't think that is Charlton Heston on the Planet of the Apes puzzle. It looks more like Mike Farrell of MASH<
